Workplace Health & Safety Training Series:
Infectious Disease Control

Hosted by: Daryl Daniels of UC, the Sustainable Workplace Alliance, and Karen Daw, a.k.a “The OSHA Lady.”

Who Should Attend:

If you work closely with people in the spa, salon, permanent hair removal industry, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, or any healthcare setting or workplace where infectious disease could be an issue, you should attend this important training event. This training is mandatory for anyone working in an environment with the potential for exposure to blood and body fluids as it has been designed to also fulfill your annual OSHA bloodborne pathogens training.

This course is being offered at no charge under a grant from OSHA. You may register for one day only and each event has very limited spots. You and your team do not have to register for the same event to count this towards your annual training requirement. Each person must have their own registration to receive a certificate of completion. This is offered on a first-come-first-served basis, so it is strongly suggested you register ASAP to get your preferred date and time.

Course Description:

This course is delivered remotely and will help participants to understand infectious disease exposure and transmission in the workplace. You’ll learn about effective preventative methods as well as strategies to combat infectious diseases including pandemics. The focus is on worker populations at risk of exposure to infectious agents.
